At the Mill

Wills patch at the mill has been left to 'grow over' since the end of the summer, as he is going to be leaving the mill site in the not to distant future. What is particularly nice is that the meadow where the vegetable garden was,  was turned into a vegetable garden by ourselves a couple of years back, and now has been allowed to return to its orriginal state, our vegetable growing having no long term effects on the locality, with exception to the introduction of a bench which we have said we will be laving so that the family who own the site can enjoy the view over their meadow from that position in the field.

fence

The new fence for the garden at my house has been delivered. It just needs putting up now, which may take many months to get around to doing.

Tree seeds

Julia and I collected some tree seeds and I planted them in a bed on the allotment. Hopefully some will grow in the spring into seedlings that can then be planted where I would like to grow some trees.

Making Cider

We went to Wills parents today and picked pears and apples, crushed and pressed them and put the juice into a fermenting container to ferment and make cider :-)

Garden re-design is now complete :-)

I have finally managed to finish work on the garden, well for now, as my next plan is to save up and replace the fence adjoining number 90.

The patio however is a disaster zone, filled with all the rubbish and junk removed in the remodelling.

Seeds and cuttings

This last few weeks Will and I have been taking cuttings of box hedging in my garden, we also collected acorns from Staverton thicks, and have planted them, a swell a s a few conmkers, hopefully they too will grow and be able to be incorporated into some hedging at some point in the future.

another small step...
